Been dealing with recurring bouts of PBA, PseudoBulbar Affect: Uncontrollable laughing and/or crying, and it’s no fun at all. TBI: traumatic brain injury (hemorrhagic stroke in my case), can cause PBA, as do MS, dementia, and others. In my case, PBA has been recently triggered by severe emotional and psychological stressors that keep spinning like a merry-go-round. When I hear or read funny posts on Facebook, my PBA goes into a tailspin, and I even get horrible backache when I’m laughing standing up. Wouldn’t wish this type of experience upon anyone as this kind of ‘laughter’ isn’t fun.
