Sister City and Other Stuff

City of Oxnard Welcomed its Sister City of Ocotlán, Jalisco.    Dr. Manuel López, former Oxnard Mayor initiated the sisterhood about 53 years ago; he, as well as other City officials, OPD, OFD, community organizations, and residents participated in the ceremony in downtown’s Plaza Park.

Ocotlán’s participants as well as City officials gave speeches that had a common theme: friendship, sharing, culture, and Ocotlán’s participants’ commitment to find solutions to homelessness for veterans.

it was an insightful and inspirational ceremony.
